Quick selection matrix
Use this table to organize the first technical discussion. The approved project drawing and local requirements always take priority.
| Configuration | Typical planning use | Key point to confirm |
|---|---|---|
| Three-aspect vehicle signal | Large vehicle approach indication | Ball/arrow order and mounting structure |
| Arrow signal with countdown | Movement control with remaining-time display | Direction, timing source and controller logic |
| Pedestrian signal | Large crossing indication | Symbol, layout and applicable standard |
| Bicycle signal with countdown | Dedicated cycle movement | Cycle phase, visibility and mounting position |
Confirm why the larger signal is required
Viewing distance, approach speed, number of lanes, mounting height and visual background can influence the selected signal size. A larger signal should not be specified only because it appears more visible in a catalogue. The project designer should confirm where it is required and whether the supporting structure is suitable for the larger assembly.
The term 16 inch describes the nominal optical size in this product group. It should not be confused with a 16×18 inch rectangular pedestrian housing. Always compare the dimensional drawing, optical face, housing shape and mounting points against the project specification.
Plan the structure and configuration
State the number of sections, color and symbol order, housing material, visor, contrast board and mounting orientation. For arrow signals, confirm the direction for every face. For pedestrian and bicycle signals, provide the approved artwork. For countdown combinations, define the timing source, maximum count and transition behavior.
The pole arm, bracket and fasteners must be reviewed for the complete head rather than the optical face alone. Include mounting height, bracket arrangement and relevant structural requirements. Export packaging should also protect the larger visor, housing and lens from deformation or impact during transport.
Prepare an accurate request for quotation
Provide the road or intersection drawing, signal-head schedule, quantity, operating voltage, controller interface, mounting details, applicable standard, destination and requested delivery date. A confirmed dimensional and indication drawing should be approved before production.
GAOQIAO's 400 mm range includes vehicle, arrow, pedestrian, bicycle, lane-control and countdown configurations. The examples below illustrate available combinations and can be used to start a technical discussion.
