Choose by indication, not diameter alone
A 300 mm signal may display a red, yellow or green ball; a directional arrow; a pedestrian or bicycle symbol; or a countdown value. Begin by listing every required indication in the signal schedule. For multi-section heads, state the order from top to bottom or left to right and indicate whether the assembly is vertical or horizontal.
A round 300 mm optical face is not automatically the same as every 12×12 inch North American module or rectangular pedestrian enclosure. If an ITE or another market-specific requirement applies, include the exact edition, photometric requirement, connector details and approved dimensions in the inquiry.
Housing and electrical checklist
Confirm housing material, lens or optical type, visor, contrast board, bracket and pole interface. State the controller output and operating voltage, cable-entry method, earthing requirement and terminal arrangement. Where a timer or smart function is required, include the phase logic and communication or timing method.
For retrofit projects, send the existing product label, front and rear photographs, mounting-hole dimensions and wiring diagram. For new installations, send the junction drawing and signal-head schedule. Both approaches reduce the risk of receiving a product that is visually similar but mechanically incompatible.
Use a confirmed drawing before production
The approved drawing should show the indication layout, overall dimensions, mounting points, cable entry, label information and requested accessories. If custom symbols or color sequences are involved, include the artwork and direction of travel. Sample confirmation can be considered for a new configuration before a larger order.
