Document the board interface before choosing a controller
This category currently has no individual controller model cards. An arrow-board controller enquiry should identify the board being controlled and its required display states. A matching connector or supply voltage alone does not confirm that the controller can operate the intended arrangement.
Provide the board model, electrical input, wiring information and the commands available from any upstream equipment. If the board has several sections or arrow directions, show how each is addressed. State the required operating sequence and the behaviour expected when the control command changes.
Project information to provide
- Output schedule: list every controlled lamp group or display state.
- Electrical interface: supply, load information and available connection drawings.
- Operator controls: required local or remote commands and the way selected modes are indicated.
- Supply package: controller enclosure, cables, connectors, setup instructions and spare-parts requirements.

Prepare an input-and-output schedule
List each required command alongside the display state it should produce. Include any operator switch, upstream controller or external input that will issue the command. Where an existing board is being retained, attach its terminal or connector information so the controller enquiry is based on the actual interface.
The schedule should distinguish a requested function from a confirmed feature of the proposed equipment. Ask how setup information is retained and what operating instructions will accompany the selected version. Keep the board reference, controller drawing and agreed command table together when reviewing the quotation, especially when several parties supply different parts of the installation.
