LED Traffic Light Module Replacement: Photos to Send

14 October 2026 · GAOQIAO Traffic Technology

A clear front photograph helps identify a signal indication, but it rarely establishes whether a replacement LED module will fit the existing head. The useful enquiry package connects photographs with measurements, model labels and the installation documents. It lets the supplier identify unanswered interface questions before a part is selected.

Identify the existing assembly

Start with the head manufacturer, model, nominal face size, colour and indication. Copy the label exactly, including suffixes. If the label is damaged or unreadable, say so and send a photograph; a guessed model number can lead the review in the wrong direction.

Ask qualified maintenance personnel to collect information under the site's approved isolation and access procedure. This article is a document checklist, not an instruction to open or test an energised signal. Existing wiring colours alone are not reliable proof of the required electrical interface.

Prepare five useful views

ViewWhat it should show
Complete frontRound, arrow or other indication and the head arrangement
Rear and labelModel identification, electrical marking and cable-entry position
Module edgeMounting envelope, retaining features and any locating tabs
Connector detailHousing shape, keying, pin arrangement and markings
Sealing interfaceGasket location and how the module meets the retained housing

Put a scale or measured dimension alongside the relevant feature where practical. Keep an overall view as well as close-ups so that the reviewer knows which part of the assembly is being shown. Number the photographs and refer to those numbers in the enquiry.

Attach evidence photographs cannot supply

A connector that looks similar may still have a different pin assignment or electrical version. Attach the existing wiring diagram, supply specification and any available module drawing. Mark unknown fields as unknown. Do not infer polarity, voltage or compatibility from the appearance of a plug.

Include the retaining method and sealing arrangement. A module can match the nominal 200mm or 300mm size while failing to match the aperture, depth or gasket interface. Also state whether the existing housing and its fittings will be retained, repaired or replaced.

Ask for a decision with conditions

Request a written compatibility review against the supplied evidence. The outcome may be a candidate module with stated conditions, a request for more measurements, or a recommendation to review a complete replacement head. A product photograph or nominal diameter is not sufficient approval for installation.

Send the package to sky-sale@njgq.net with the quantity, country and required indication. Keep the final model confirmation and approved installation instructions with the maintenance record so the next replacement starts with better information.
