Pedestrian request interface
A pedestrian push button is an input device for the crossing controller. Decide how the request will be registered, acknowledged and cleared before specifying its mounting position. The button should call the programmed crossing sequence; it does not by itself define the vehicle stop interval or pedestrian clearance period.
Request the actual switch contact arrangement, operating voltage if illuminated, cable entry and mounting drawing. Verify compatibility with the controller input rather than selecting by enclosure appearance. Where audible or tactile assistance is required, identify that requirement explicitly and obtain the corresponding product details.
Confirm the supplied version
Use the product photograph and requested function to obtain a matching drawing and connection diagram. Agree the supplied components and their installation interfaces before confirming the order. Where a replacement is required, include the existing product label and measurements so that the supplier can compare the actual parts.
Information for your enquiry
- Controller input and contact type, including any indicator supply.
- Mounting height, pole diameter and access for cable termination.
- Required user feedback and the behavior after a repeated request.
Send the installer’s terminal diagram and a photo of the existing mounting position with the enquiry. Ask the controller supplier to confirm the required contact behaviour and cable arrangement. If a faceplate, illuminated indicator or audible feature is required, list it separately so the agreed supply scope is clear.
