Prepare an entrance or exit indication brief

Separate the indication from the triggering equipment

A display at an access point may be controlled by a barrier, an operator or other site equipment. Identify that source of the command and provide its interface information. If the request includes speed measurement, describe the detection requirement separately; a display enclosure does not establish that a sensor or measurement system is included.

Keep a short table of operating states with the enquiry: what the driver should see, what triggers that indication and which equipment supplies the command. Include the proposed viewing direction and mounting drawing. These details make it possible to discuss a defined display requirement without inventing an unlisted standard product.
