Check the pedestrian symbol, its orientation and the required red and green arrangement against the crossing design. For a replacement, compare the visible symbol with the existing signal as well as its physical size. The crossing controller and approved timing plan determine the operating sequence and clearance period.
Single-aspect wiring
Where several colors share one aspect, confirm the connection for each color and how the controller selects it. Do not assume that a single housing uses one shared switched supply. Review the supplied wiring diagram and agree the startup and off states before integrating the signal with an existing controller.
