Define the product before comparing factories
A useful quotation starts with the intended application and an identifiable configuration. State the signal diameter, display symbol, number of aspects, supply, mounting arrangement, controller interface and destination requirements. Separate essential requirements from optional preferences.
Verify the proposed configuration
Ask for the model reference, drawings, photographs and a parameter sheet that describe the same product. Check whether photographs show the actual proposed variant or an illustration. Request test and conformity documents applicable to that model and the destination market.
Agree a sample and inspection plan
Define what the sample must demonstrate and which features may differ from production. Approve drawings and record revisions before production. Agree the inspection scope, sampling method, acceptance criteria, defect handling and responsibilities in writing.
Compare the complete delivery scope
Compare quotations on the same basis: product configuration, included accessories, packaging, trade terms, payment conditions, lead time and after-sales responsibilities. Confirm minimum order quantities and warranty terms for the quotation; do not assume a general website statement applies to every model.
Keep records through shipment
Retain the approved specification, order confirmation, inspection report and packing list. Use model and package identifiers that allow the receiving team to match the shipment to the order. Clarify documentation and customs responsibilities before dispatch.
